The Hammock – Your Place Among the Trees

The Jord Hammock is the heart of the kit—spacious enough to stretch out, light enough to carry across the mountains. I designed it for Nordic nights, with a built-in bug net to keep insects away and an unmatched feeling of freedom. It’s my favorite way to sleep outdoors—easy to hang, and more comfortable than most beds.

The Underquilt – Warmth From Below

The Jord Underquilt keeps the cold from creeping in underneath. It wraps around your hammock like a warm hug, making every night restful and cozy. I’ve used it in frosty clearings—it’s fluffy, simple, and essential for great sleep. Choose Featherlight 300, Forest Peace 500, or Winter Rest 800 based on how warm you sleep and how light you want to pack.

The Tarp – Protection From Rain, Sun, and Wind

The Jord Tarp keeps you dry and sheltered, while still letting you enjoy the forest view. It’s easy to set up, and strong enough to handle Nordic storms—I’ve trusted it in wild Hälsinge winds and stayed dry through downpours. Choose a lighter asymmetrical tarp for minimal coverage, or go big with a rectangular tarp for full protection and room for your gear.

The Topquilt – Your Hammock’s Fluffy Blanket

The Jord Topquilt is the solution when you’re done struggling with zippers and tight mummy bags. A topquilt is a warm, fluffy blanket designed for hammocks—simpler, cozier, and so much easier. Just slip in and drift off into comfort.

*For the hammock nerds out there: I planned to include an oversized Bishop Bag that could hold the entire kit. Unfortunately, a miscommunication with the supplier means our Bishop Bags aren’t quite XL. You can fit the hammock and underquilt (up to the 500 model) without removing anything, but it’s tight—and there’s no room for the tarp, topquilt, or Winter Rest. Still, it’s probably the biggest Bishop Bag you can buy and helps make your setup simpler.
